Child abduction rumours panicking parents

[...] One text message doing the rounds yesterday read: “SOS CHILDREN KIDNAPPED IN LARNACA. Three in the last few days from organised groups of foreigners (Turkish Cypriots).”
The message goes on to tell a long story about one alleged incident in a popular retail store where a man tried to kidnap a four-year-old child by offering sweets and a change of clothes. The kidnapper was stopped by vigilant saleswomen at the retail store, informed the text. [...]
